100 is a small number when you're talking book sales, but I just noticed with my march royalty statement, The Grass is Always Greener just hit that milestone. A first for me!! Whoooo!!! Baby steps, right?

To Celebrate, anyone who comments here, will be added to a drawing for a copy of my latest release, Trading Up.

Best Seller?!?

Having only just entered the world as an officially published author, I didn't expect to land on any bestseller lists anytime soon... But to my elation, and surprise, my short story, The Grass is Always Greener has landed at #2 on Breathless Press's Bestseller List. I know its not the New York Times... but hey... it's still pretty cool!

If you like a spicy romance, it's on sale for only 99 cents right now! Maybe push me up to #1? Hehehe.

New Cover Art

I just got the artwork for my short story, The Grass is Always Greener, coming August 13th from Breathless Press. The artist is the amazing Victoria Miller and she was so easy to work with. And the results are stunning. I'm biased, but you gotta admit, that's a beautiful cover!

More news...

I just keep plugging away. I need to be more attentive here as well. So here's a recap of the most recent events.

1. Completed first round of edits for Gothic City Lights. We may need to push out the release date, but it's worth it. The book is tenfold better than when it was first accepted. Loose Id is pushing me, but gently. It's been a great learning experience. I can't wait for it to release, you're gonna love it!

2. Breathless Press has found an audio book partner, so they have picked up audio rights to my short story, The Grass is Always Greener. I hope they decide to produce it. That would be so cool.

3. My free story, That One Night in Vegas, has been selected by Lushstories.com to produce an audiobook in MP3 format, which will be available on their site at a later date. You can read the story here, at Lushstories.com or Literotica.com

4. And last, but not least, I am in contract negotiations for my short story Divalicious... details to be announced once the contracts have been signed. Stay tuned.

A day of excitement

...followed by months of waiting. Hehehe. That's the rollercoaster ride of professional writing.

The Grass is Always Greener got the greenlight from my editor, after three rounds of edits. It's done!!! Now it goes for formatting, then a copy editor will review it. Now I wait to see the cover design and advanced reading copy before the release sometime in August! This is the first book I've finished editing and its a thrill to know it is completed. *does the happy dance*

So I can officially say... The Grass is Always Greener, coming soon from Breathless Press

Feeling Accomplished

This is old hat to seasoned veterans, but I'm a rookie, so bear with me.

I just completed the first round of edits on Gothic City Lights !!! I decided to make some major scene changes on it and so it took longer than it should have, even for a rookie I imagine, but still... its done and I learned so much from it.

Additionally, I completed the 3rd round (and possibly last) of edits on The Grass is Always Greener and turned that in as well.

So to fill the void, I'm working on revisions for short story that was rejected, but given an open invite to re-submit directly to the editor.

Anyway, I feel very accomplished, having gotten through the biggest obstacles thus far. I'm confident the remaining edits will be less and easier from here out.

Woot! Time to celebrate. I signed a contract on my short story, The Grass is Always Greener yesterday morning with Breathless Press. I'm so happy to be on board with this up and coming publisher. They have been so fantastic and I've only just begun with them. Thanks to Sable Grey for recommending them!
